We fabricate steel pipe stands, pipe shoes, dummy legs, and custom pipe rack sections for Gulf Coast refineries, chemical plants, and pipeline operations. CNC plasma cut saddles to your actual pipe OD. Volume pricing for turnaround orders. Ships from Baldwin County, Alabama.
A refinery maintenance supervisor in Saraland, Alabama or Geismar, Louisiana has two ways to buy pipe stands: call a national distributor and wait 3–4 weeks for standard sizes that may or may not match the actual pipe OD on the job, or call us and get fabricated supports cut to their exact pipe diameter and delivered in 1–2 weeks at a lower unit cost.
The pipe OD problem is real and it matters. A standard catalog pipe stand with a 6-inch saddle cradle fits nominal 6-inch pipe (6.625" OD). If the application has 6-inch Schedule 80 (same 6.625" OD), the standard cradle works. But if the application has a 6-inch lined pipe with an actual OD of 7.1 inches due to lining thickness, the standard cradle doesn't fit. We plasma cut every cradle and saddle to the actual OD from the client's pipe spec — it costs the same and fits the first time.
For turnaround work, fabrication lead time is the entire issue. A plant turnaround runs on a schedule that gets compressed the moment something in the field doesn't go as planned. Having a local fabricator who can turn a batch of pipe stands in 5–7 days rather than waiting for a national distributor to build and ship is the difference between making the turnaround schedule and extending the outage.
Every type of pipe support for Gulf Coast industrial facilities — fabricated to your pipe OD, your elevation, your load, and your material specification.
The standard above-grade pipe support. Base plate welded to a vertical stanchion (pipe, square tube, or wide flange column depending on load and height) topped with a saddle cradle CNC plasma cut to your pipe OD. Base plate sized for your anchor bolt pattern and load. Stanchion height to your specification. Available in A36 carbon steel, galvanized, or stainless for corrosive environments.
Threaded adjustable pipe stands for applications where the elevation needs fine-tuning during installation or where the support may need to accommodate differential settlement over time. Common on pipeline projects, temporary supports, and process piping systems where grade adjustment is a design requirement. Adjustment range specified at time of order.
Pipe shoes are welded directly to the pipe OD and allow the pipe to slide on a support structure as it expands and contracts with temperature changes. Critical for hot piping systems where thermal expansion must be accommodated. The shoe profile is CNC plasma cut to match the pipe OD exactly — weld fitup is tight and the finished weld is full penetration per your weld procedure.
Capped pipe legs for supporting branch connections and reducing stress at tees, elbows, and flanges. Fabricated from the same nominal pipe size and schedule as the branch — or from the run pipe material when specified. Capped bottom, gusset welded to branch connection fitting, and base plate for floor support. Common in process piping systems where pipe stress calculations require branch point support.
Vertical pipe stanchion assemblies for supporting overhead distribution piping, utility headers, and vertical risers. Post base plates anchor to concrete floor or structural beam — hanger rod clamp or saddle head at the pipe elevation. Used extensively in process facilities, utility distribution systems, and pipe rack fill-in supports.
Multi-line pipe rack support sections for supporting 4–20+ pipe lines at defined elevations. Portal frame construction — two stanchions with cross beams and saddle cradles at each pipe elevation. Field assembled from shop-fabricated components. Galvanized standard for outdoor pipe racks. Used for pipe rack additions, bypass routing, and temporary rack sections during maintenance.
Fabricator-direct pricing — not distributor markup. Volume pricing available for turnaround and maintenance program orders.

Fixed pipe stands for 2"–6" pipe run $85–$200 each. Large-pipe stands for 8"–24" pipe run $180–$450. Adjustable stands run $130–$500. Pipe shoes/saddles run $50–$250 each. Volume pricing on orders of 20+. Call (251) 776-4337 to discuss your quantity and get a volume quote.
We cut every saddle cradle to the actual OD from your pipe specification — not the nominal size. Nominal 6-inch pipe is 6.625" OD. If your pipe has a lining, insulation, or non-standard wall that changes the OD, give us the actual OD number and we cut to that. It costs nothing extra and the support fits the first time.
ASTM A36 carbon steel is the standard for most industrial pipe supports — adequate strength, widely available, and economical. For corrosive environments, we use galvanized (ASTM A123 hot-dip) or 304/316 stainless. For high-temperature applications near hot pipe, we use A36 and can specify appropriate finish coatings. Specify the environment and temperature range and we'll recommend the right material.
